Unlike any other transmitter, Liquid-Liquid interface levels are measured by the Accu-Gage®
Sonar Level transmitter without requiring measurable electrical property or density differences.
Using patented sensor technology, sonar pulses are reflected off the physical interface boundary
and surface level, allowing simultaneous interface, level – even the accumulation of solids on
the bottom! – measurement.
Accu-Gage® is suitable for all types of process vessels and storage tanks - including floating
roof, cone roof, bullets or spheres. Grade mounting avoids roof access for maintenance or gauging
on storage tanks.
Accu-Gage® can be installed in the top, bottom or sidewall without having to take the vessel or
tank out of service, thereby avoiding costly down time.
Reliability is high and maintenance is minimal because there are no moving parts.
Measurement accuracy is obtained by continuous self-calibration against a known reference
target - eliminating effects of temperature, pressure, density and composition changes.
Measurement data is transmitted as up to four individually isolated 4-20mA outputs to the user’s
display or controller.
Developed by CTI Manufacturing, Inc. over a twelve year period, the Accu-Gage® has proven
successful in materials as diverse as asphalt, liquid sulfur, water, cooking oil, sulfuric acid,
crude oil and butane using our Liquid Radar™ technology.
